Add a timestamp and location to a photo

Free and online. Choose a photo, pick a stamp, set the date, time and place, then download.

How it works

  1. Choose a photo

A JPEG or HEIC from your phone or computer. If the file has the date and GPS, we fill them in for you.

  2. Pick a stamp and edit it

Five stamps from the Geoplate app. Change the date, time, name and the place on the map.

  3. Download

Save the stamped photo. No sign-up.

Web stamp or camera stamp?

Here the stamp is text you type in. The Geoplate app for iPhone stamps each photo from the camera clock and live GPS at the moment you take it, so there is nothing to type. Timestamp camera

Questions

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The stamp is drawn in your browser and the photo never leaves your device. Only the map and the address search go online: they get the text you search for or the point on the map, never the photo.

Can I add a timestamp to a photo I took earlier?

Yes. If the photo file has the date it was taken, the tool fills it in. You can also set any date and time by hand.

Does the downloaded photo keep its hidden location data?

No. The saved photo shows the stamp you see, but the original date and GPS hidden in the file are not copied into it.

Which photos can I use?

JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC from an iPhone. Very large photos are saved at up to 16 megapixels so they open on any phone.

Why are there more stamps in the app?

The Geoplate app for iPhone has over 250 stamps for construction, cleaning, delivery, inspections, travel and more, plus a mini map, stamping many old photos at once and stamps on video.
