Cookie Notice
Last updated: 8 November 2026
The short version. This website uses one kind of cookie: Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages help people find Geoplate. There are no advertising cookies and no social media pixels. In Europe, Google Analytics loads only after you tap Accept. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
1. What this notice covers
This notice covers the website geoplate.app, including its free photo tool. The Geoplate app for iPhone sets no browser cookies; how the app and the website handle data is described in the Privacy Policy (section 16 is about this website).
2. The cookies
| Name | Set by | What for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | A random identifier that tells one visitor from another, so we count people rather than page loads. | 2 years |
_ga_6HXE7FLT9K |
Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit, so several pages opened in a row count as one visit. | 2 years |
Your answer to the cookie question and your light or dark theme are saved in your browser's storage for this site, so we do not ask again on every page. They are not cookies, and they never leave your browser.
3. What Google Analytics sees
- The pages you open and the site that sent you here, for example a search engine or TikTok.
- Which buttons you tap on the page, such as the App Store buttons, and steps in the free photo tool as short codes (for example, the stamp style and how the photo was saved). Never the photo itself, its location, an address or anything you type.
- Your device type, operating system, browser, screen size and language.
- An approximate location, such as country and city, which Google works out from your network address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
It does not see your name, your email address, or anything you type. We have switched off Google signals and ad personalization, and we do not use Analytics for advertising. We see only reports: how many people visited, from where, and how many tapped through to the App Store. The data is kept for 14 months.
Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4. Your choice
- In Europe, including the EU and the UK, Google Analytics does not load until you tap Accept. If you tap Decline, nothing is loaded and no Analytics cookies are set. This website has no server that knows your country, so it recognises Europe by your device's time zone. That is why visitors elsewhere in Europe see the question too.
- Everywhere else, Google Analytics is on from the first page. Open Cookie settings and tap Decline to switch it off: we stop it on the spot and delete its cookies.
- You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser works too, and so does Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Where the law requires it, including in the EU and the UK, the legal basis for Analytics is your consent. Declining changes nothing else on the site: every page and every button works the same.
5. Where the data goes
Google may process Analytics data on servers in the United States. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission for such transfers.
6. Changes and contact
If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top first. Questions: [email protected].
